    The working principle of vacuum freeze dryer can be simply summarized as the following steps:

    1. Pre-freeze-drying treatment: the material to be treated is pre-treated, usually including cleaning, cutting, etc., in order to dry more evenly during the freeze-drying process.

    2. Freezing: Put the pre-treated material into the freeze dryer, and quickly freeze the material to a low temperature (usually between -50 ° C and -70 ° C) through the refrigeration system. In this process, the water in the material condenses into ice.

    3. Vacuum environment: After freezing, vacuum is injected into the machine to reduce the air pressure (usually less than 0.1 Torr). A low pressure environment helps to lower the boiling point of water.

    4. Sublimation: Under vacuum conditions, heat is transferred to the frozen material through heating disks or other heating methods. The ice sublimes directly from solid to gas, and the water does not pass through the liquid phase and is quickly removed.

    5. Collection of water vapor: The water vapor produced in the sublimation process is guided to the condenser, where due to the low temperature, the water vapor is condensed into water and collected to prevent its reflux.

    6. Drying completion: After a period of sublimation, the water in the material is basically removed, and the final product is dry.

    Return to normal temperature: After drying, gradually return to normal temperature to complete the entire drying process.

    Unique design

    After a lot of practice and experiments, we have improved the operation screen of vacuum freeze-drying machine. In the past, we designed the screen below the front of the equipment or above the acrylic door opening and closing, but after a lot of user experience feedback, we carried out an innovative design, we designed the screen on the top of the freeze-drying machine, and the screen can be freely flipped 90°, so the design is more beautiful. It also ADAPTS to the needs of the actual operation.

    Standard mode (Fool mode) and expert mode

    The small-scale food freeze-dryer offers two operational modes: Normal Mode and Expert Mode. In Normal Mode, the device comes preloaded with a variety of freeze-drying recipes. Users can simply select the appropriate freeze-drying process for their needs. However, since the freeze-drying process is influenced by numerous factors such as ambient temperature, the size of the material, and the structural composition of different materials, if a pre-set recipe does not yield satisfactory freeze-drying results, the user must switch to Expert Mode to view and modify the parameters.

    In Normal Mode, the process begins on the main interface where the user clicks on "Select Recipe," then chooses an example recipe such as "Strawberry Recipe," confirms the selection, and starts the process. This initiates the first phase of freeze-drying, known as the pre-freezing stage, which lasts between 7 to 8 hours. Once the set freezing temperature is stably achieved, the machine automatically transitions to the second phase, where the vacuum pump activates to begin evacuating air, achieving a vacuum level of approximately 20-30 Pa. This phase continues for about 4 hours. After the vacuum inside the machine stabilizes for a set period (which can be adjusted or left as per the pre-set recipe), the process moves to the third phase, "Heating." Under negative pressure, the temperature rises, and heat is transferred to the frozen material via heating plates or other methods. The ice sublimates directly from solid to gas, bypassing the liquid phase, and is rapidly removed. The water vapor generated during sublimation is directed to a condenser where, due to the low temperature, it condenses into water and is collected to prevent backflow. After a period of sublimation, most of the moisture in the material is removed, resulting in a dry final product.

    Expert Mode allows for the addition and modification of freeze-drying recipes. This mode is suitable for users who are familiar with the equipment and the intricacies of the freeze-drying process.

    One click defrost function

    According to the actual needs of some users, after the freeze-drying is completed, a part of the ice and snow inside the cold trap is melted, and the one-click defrost function can be opened. The inside of the cold trap will start to heat up, so that the internal snow and ice will melt, and the melt water will flow out of the drain through the pipe.
