    What Class Rating?

DRIFIRE offers garments that are certified to ANSI/ISEA Class 2, Class 3, and Class E. It is important to know what class rating is best suited for the situations you encounter.

    Class 2

Garments that meet ANSI/ISEA Class 2 are most commonly used in areas that have a medium amount of traffic. Typically, construction workers and road maintenance workers will be seen donning this protection class. Class 2 garments are required to have reflective material on the torso and either the shoulder or sleeve.

    Class 3

Garments that meet ANSI/ISEA Class 3 garments are required to worn in low visibility areas. They are also commonly seen in areas where there are high hazard risks. To be considered Class 3 compliant, the garment must have sleeves and must also have reflective material on the torso, shoulder, and arms.

    Class E

This class is considered to be a "supplemental class" and can be paired with any Class 2 garment to turn it into a Class 3 ensemble.
